Cardinal Shooting Center

Our Home Grounds

3 of the 5 largest trapshooting competitions in the country are hosted here.

The Cardinal Center is Ohio’s showplace for shotgun sports, and the OSTA is glad to have forged a partnership with Marengo landowners Jack Fishburn and the late Karen Fishburn. Together, we have created one of the finest shotgunning facilities in the country just 30 minutes north of Columbus. But major names in the industry and throughout our state have gotten behind the Cardinal Shooting Center, as well, including Cabela’s, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources and the U.S. Sportsmen’s Alliance.

Besides the impressive trap range, sporting clays and skeet fields, the center also offers an indoor pool, fishing pond, and lots of outdoor activities.

Our weeklong annual state trapshooting tournament is hosted here and includes the Scholastic Clay Target Program’s youth competition. The Ohio State Shoot is now the second largest trapshooting event in the country, second only to the Grand American, with as many as 1,500 shooters from more than 30 states competing for big-ticket prizes, money and bragging rights.

The Ohio Trapshooting Museum also is here and is open during the Buckeye Classic, the Ohio State Tournament and the Cardinal Classic.
